Tech Specs
PRI Phone Service
PRI stands for Primary Rate Interface. A PRI Line (usually a T1 in the US) has 23 voice channels and one data/control channel. The line physically connects a business, via its PBX, to the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN). The 23 voice channels enable the business to hold 23 calls simultaneously. The channels can be used flexibly and reassigned as needed to meet special demands – like video conferences. Add more simultaneous call capacity by adding PRI lines.
Quality of Service
Commonly shortened to QoS, Quality of Service refers to the overall performance of a network service – its ability to reach maximum bandwidth and effectively cope with latency, error rate, uptime and other performance attributes. QoS is required for voice and video streaming, and important to businesses large and small. With PRI phone service, QoS is guaranteed.
Analog Lines Phone Service
Often called POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service), analog phone lines support traditional office phones and fax machines. Built on copper wire, analog lines have supported businesses for many years. They are reliable, with good voice quality, and have basic features like hold, mute, and redial. New Age Networks offers more robust standard features with its Analog Lines phone system.
